KICKS OFF THE MELBOURNE ART FESTIVAL

The 28th Melbourne Art Festival 5K Flamingo Run/Walk will be held Saturday, April 23rd starting at 7:30 a.m. The 5K Flamingo Run is one of the largest 5K races in Brevard County and has established the reputation as one of the best executed and most fun events of its kind in Central Florida. As the opening act for the annual Melbourne Art Festival (MAF), this premier event will host over 1000 runners and walkers for the 29th annual run. The proceeds from the race are used to promote and encourage artistic endeavors, education, and appreciation in Brevard County. Come join us for a great time and a great cause.

The race starts and ends at the Melbourne Art Festival in downtown Melbourne and goes out and back over the Melbourne Causeway offering a spectacular view of the Indian River.After the race, participants can enjoy a huge spread of mouth-watering treats including an array of fresh fruits, breads, juices, sandwiches, and all the bottled water you can drink as part of a spectacular post race celebration that is unequalled on the race circuit. For those daring runners, complimentary beer is also provided after the run. prize give aways that are always a crowd pleaser. Awards are provided in 11 age categories as well as for overall, master, and team challenge.

Entry fees for the 2016 race:

• $23 each for team members (minimum 3 per team) pre-registered by April 18th, 2016. (special corporate rate available, contact the (Race Director))
• $30 for ALL runners after April 18th (postmarked) and day of race.
