Melbourne Sustainability Festival

The Sustainable Living Festival Big Weekend will be once again featuring the ever popular Green Market in 2016. The Big Weekend is the 3 day feature event of the 3 week Sustainable Living Festival. The Big Weekend takes place over the middle weekend of the Festival and is at Federation Square and Birrarung Marr in central Melbourne. This feature market will showcases the country’s 100 leading businesses, community groups and vendors covering a range of sustainability themes.

GREEN MARKET DATES

Friday 12 February – 12pm to 8pm
Saturday 13 February - 10am to 6pm
Sunday 14 February – 10am to 5pm

GREEN MARKET LOCATION

Event Location: Federation Square River Bank & Birrarung Marr Event Park

Load in: Thursday 11 February for vehicle entry and 12 February before 12pm for walk on entry.

Pack down: Sunday after 6pm. Exhibitors needing vehicle entry please be aware this will take some time to clear the site and coordinate the flow of traffic.

(No vehicles will be allowed onsite on Friday or Saturday and not before 6pm on Sunday)

Home building, design & fittings – Solar, water, architecture, furnishings and appliances.

Lifestyle – Fairtrade and organic clothing, chocolate, tea and coffee, healthy and sustainable diets, DIY repairs.

Bikes & Transport – Our friends at will be joining us again for another special market feature with all the latest bikes and displays.

Gardening & food – Organic certified gardening products, recycled and reclaimed garden features and even a feature garden to sit in and listen to talks on gardening.

Feast Out Village – Featuring the most delicious selection of vegetarian and vegan, organic and local food and drink. The Festival’s Big Weekend has everything from wholesome meals to delicious ice cream, organic coffee, tea and fruit juices.

Community groups & NGOs – All the leading advocacy groups working to make the world a better place. From international environmental and social NGOs to local community groups protecting endangered species and creating sustainable communities.

FESTIVAL BIG WEEKEND PRESENTER PROGRAM

During the Big Weekend there will be talks, workshops, films, music, art and design displays and many other amazing events to wow your mind with all the latest knowledge on sustainability. These events are part of the Big Weekend Event Program. Exhibitors are welcome to for the Festival’s Big weekend presenter program. (please be aware space is limited.)
