This year saw the founding of Hawaiiki Hou—the World Māori Film Festival Congress, and the museum’s Aotearoa New Zealand Film Festival is one of the group’s first associate members, along with festivals in Australia and Tahiti, and joining founding members in Wairoa, Raratonga, Sydney and New York. These festivals are united by a dedication to showcasing indigenous film content, including films by Māori, Hawaiian and Aboriginal Australian artists. Don't miss this year’s stellar selection of shorts and features showcasing Aotearoa’s unique culture, wicked sense of humor and distinctive cinematic visions
